Very solid BBQ Location. Came early at 4:30, and place was able to fit us in. The fries were good, the beer and happy hour specials were appreciated so was the discount. The combos was too much food and too many extras. Being able to order a la carte was very nice.

The food was sooooo delicious! As there is a bbq in the middle of the table, it does get pretty hot so be sure to wear layers you can remove! The service was great, though just be aware that it's safer to book a table than show up hoping for the best! Ambiance was good, fairly dim lighting but can see the menu easily and good music! Highly recommend!

3.5-4 stars imo. I bbq grill meats like this at home a lot, and the quality of meats it the most important. Then the seasoning. Kintan has good quality meats, however, the seasoning on most of them were too strong and salty for my liking and tends to take away from the true taste of the meat. Otherwise, carding that, overall experience was good!

Washed my favourite jumper before spontaneously going to a Japanese BBQ. Was completely worth it. We ordered the following: - Beef tongue - Garlic Butter Kalbi Short Rib - Toro Beef - Assorted Vegetables - Steamed Rice The meats were all tender and tasty but the best of the bunch was the beef tongue. It seemed to work well from perhaps a lack of seasoning compared to the others, allowing its natural flavours to work gorgeously with the table sauces. The garlic butter and short rib also combined really nicely with the short rib in one of the most mouthwatering dinners I'd had in a while. Currently thinking up excuses to come back after lockdown.

Amazing amazing food. Everything my group ordered off the menu was delicious. Would've been 5 stars if the service was better as we were forgotten a few times.

For anyone from Asia or the US, Kintan will remind you of Gyu-Kaku! It's been a while since I had Japanese BBQ and it's my first time trying Kintan but the restaurant feels so familiar including the menu, so ordering was really easy. My friend and I shared the USDA skirt steak, kalbi, toro beef and pork belly. All were really tender! Each dish comes marinated in a sauce and we went with a combination of shio, sweet soy and garlic options. We also got a mushroom medley and garlic fried rice, yum! Unlike other Asian BBQ restaurants in London, you actually get to cook your food at Kintan instead of having a server do it. My only negative thought is that the menu is a bit pricier than what I'm used to. Luckily they do half price during happy hour times and also two all you can eat options, so I'd definitely come back during those times!

Great value for lunch! I ordered the 2 BBQ items for $11 that included soup, white rice and a salad. Initially I wanted to order the $8 meal deal that included basil chicken, beef and a pork dish with rice/soup/salad bec it seemed like a bigger portion but I'm glad I went for the 2 pick option. I ordered the short ribs and the other beef dish - and the portion sizes were pretty great! I also liked that you get to cook the meat by yourself since I like mine extra crispy. I've been to a lot of yakinuku places and their marinade was really good. You don't even need to dip it with their extra sauces on the table. I was pretty full by the end of it and my wallet was really happy! Service was a bit slow at the end, but they do give you a nice hot tea! p.s they have free wifi and don't bring clothes that you don't want to smell like BBQ at the end!!

This place really reminded the barbecue place I was going to when I was living in Tokyo. We ordered vegetables, different kind of meats and seafood. We had some cabbage, kimchi, bibimbap and garlic noodles on the side. Everything was really good and tasty A great restaurant to share moment with friends or family or colleague around a nice table. barbecue It's more expensive to what I was used to in Japan but the quality was really good and it worth it in London prices.

Kintan is amazing! The atmosphere is slightly confusing as it is just like being in Japan. While we were there there was a Japanese salaryman on the next table who had drunk so much that he was falling asleep on the bench next to his colleagues - JUST LIKE JAPAN!! (^^) For the best value meat-joy come on a Monday for their happy hour. Some drinks and loooads of the food is 50% off, so you can eat yummy meat all night without paying a huge amount of money.
